You know how much I love the OLW challenges right? So this tutorial is a lo based on the last word Grow. But I also wanted to challenge myself not to use a photo on this lo.
What you need:
cherryArte:
Cosmic Energy - Milky Way(suite 5)
Kitty Lou - Girl Gossip(suite 5)
Tropics - Lime Zig Zag(suite 3)
Chipboard Alpha 1
Other:
White Cardstock
Computerfont(Arial)
A cute image
K&Company Berry Sweet Icons Stickers
Ranger Alcohol Ink 'Lettuce'
Ink Blending tool
Tiny brads American Crafts
Prima Flowers
Step 1:
Print journaling on a piece of 8,5 x 11 inch white cardstock like this:
Step 2:
Take the ' Girl Gossip'paper and cut a tree by hand with your scissors. If you don't feel you can do that you can also draw a tree on the back of the paper and cut it out. Do not glue the tree down yet.
Step 3:
Also cut by hand a halve circle, as the sun that goes down under. Before you stick that down make sure it fits with the tree. When it does, stick it down and you might have to cut a little from the side.
Step 4:
Glue down the tree
Step 5:
Cut a piece of 8,5 x 0,7 inch of the 'Lime Zig Zag' paper. Make from this little piece grass to place on the bottom of the tree. Do this by making little cuts vertically all along the paper. When it is done curl them a bit. When you're done glue it on the bottom of the page.
Step 6:
Find a cute image. If it is too big, scan it in and print it out a smaller size on white cardstock. Glue the image in the middle of the bottom of the tree.
Step 7:
Next up is making the title, which is 'I have grown'. Take the alcohol ink 'Lettuce' and put some of it on the blending tool. The chipboard Alphabet from cherryArte works really well with the Alcohol ink since the Alphabet is already white. This makes the colors pop more than it on normal chipboard would. Stamp softly on the letters.
Step 8:
Press the letters out and glue them on the lay-out.
Step 9:
Now finish the lay-out by adding stickers and small flowers and brads.
Now you're done :)
Hope you like it, be gentle since this is my first tutorial.
