Slept short and I woke up waaaay too tired(so did the rest of our household), but since it was our last day, we wanted to make the most of it. We left early for the train station in Gava where we took the train and Metro to Barcelona.
like I said TIRED!!
We walked up the Ramblas but since we were early it was not active yet. We decided to return the end of the day to get the real feel.
Starbucks made us wake up again :)
Then we walked to the district of Garcia where there were festivities all week long called Fiesta Mayor with lots of decorations in many streets.
We planned to go yesterday so the shops also would be open, but as that didn't happen, they were now all closed, which made it a bit more boring. Nonetheless we walked the streets to see where the decorated streets were.
LOVED that almost all decorations were made by recycled materials, so incredible creative!!
Totally loved all the colors here!
A street with Mozart, music and ghosts:
Loved all the music papers
As we walked we saw also some crazy good art on the walls:
Spotted two of BTOY, the graffiti artist that I mentioned in a previous blogpost, love her work!!
There was a jungle book street :)
and also a peter pan street :)
I just liked all the blue skies here.
This one was my favorite street:)
Some tapas again before we headed back over the Ramblas to the Metro again
We are ready to go home now. Everything is packed, the house is clean and I can't wait to see our dog again and to sleep in my own bed!

Wishing you all a relaxing (Anthony, especially :) flight home...It was so lovely to meet your "3 boys" and spend time with your family, Corinne. *Big hugs*!
(ps. Mozart street in Gracia is where BTOY has her studio ;) so no coincidence that you saw some of her work around there!! :)=

You and your family are so beautiful! I lived in Barcelona for about 2 1/2 years and it was amazing. Thank you for bringing back such sweet memories. Big hugs, Bonnie

lieve groet,
monique
