10 years ago they met and for Roelof-Jan it was love at first sight. He even told his best friend that she was the one, not long after they met. They started out as good friends untill butterflies also were floating in Risten stomach, friends became lovers. On May 2011 they went to China and there, on the Chinees Wall, Roelof-Jan bended down to one knee and asked Risten to be his wife. And she said "YES!"
After meeting Roelof-Jan and Risten voor de first time months ago in my favorite restaurant Wonders, I felt an instant click. I guess they did too, because the next day the emailed me that they wanted me to be their wedding photographer. I might or have not done a happy dance.
We met again for a Lovebirds shoot when it was still nice and warm. They were running late and had texted and called me to keep me updated. I told them not too worry and that I was enjoying the sun, no rush. When they arrived, eventhough I told them not too worry about being late, they were a bit stressed. I told them again, I do not have a watch and no other plans made for that day. We started walking in the woods and I could see them slowly relaxe. It was time to make some photos.
Oh we had so much fun in the end with these felt hearts made by my friend Revlie.
Such a fun couple and so nice to have met them and get to know them a bit better that day(and they me) by doing this Lovebirds shoot before their wedding. On the day of their wedding it felt like meeting old friends......(to be continued!)
